Disable CD Burning

This restriction is used to disable the use of the inbuilt CD recording functions of Windows.

Open your registry and find the key below.

Create a new DWORD value, or modify the existing value called 'NoCDBurning' using the settings below.

Settings:
User Key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\
Explorer]
System Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\
Explorer]
Name: NoCDBurning
Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)
Value: (0 = Allow CDR, 1 = Disable CDR)
